COVID-19 Emergency Food Stamp Allotments and Holiday Food Baskets in Riverside County California

Emergency food stamp allotments for the month of November, part of the COVID-19 assistance law from earlier in the year will be distributed on December 12, 2021. The program continues but is approved on a month-to-month basis as mandated by the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

Food banks will also be distributing food for families throughout the month of December as per usual. Additionally, several agencies will be giving out toys for the children so that they will have something to open on Christmas morning.

We have made a list of the agencies and what they are offering below, however, details on any requirements that may need to be met are unknown, so we suggest that you call the agency in question to learn details as they have not yet responded to our inquiries.

Free Christmas gifts from Toys for Tots
Children under the age of 13 can apply for this holiday program. Working poor families can be provided gifts for their child, provided they apply on time and meet qualifications. This is a free Christmas toy drive and giveaway event. Volunteers and businesses donate clothes, games, electronics, dolls, trucks, and more. The Christmas toys are given to qualified families in need, immigrants and migrant workers, and parents too. Dial 211.
